Simagic has struck a decisive blow in the Sim Racing market with its new premium Simagic ZEUS range. We are no longer talking about simple standalone steering wheels, but a true modular ecosystem designed to compete head-to-head with top-tier brands like Cube Controls, Ascher Racing, or Fanatec’s high-end ecosystem.
The ZEUS family is divided into three key models (Formula, GT, and Sport) and comes loaded with game-changing technologies regarding connectivity and screens. Below, we thoroughly analyze the range to help you decide which rim you need and, above all, how to connect it properly to your wheelbase without making mistakes.
🛠️ Don’t want to read technical manuals or get tangled in cables? Don’t risk buying the wrong adapters. Use our Free Compatibility Configurator, select your current wheelbase, choose a ZEUS wheel, and we’ll tell you exactly which adapters you need in 3 clicks.
The Technological Revolution: Screens and Connections
Before diving into each rim, you must understand the two major innovations Simagic has integrated, because they completely change how we connect hardware:
MagicDash 4 and the Airlink System
Simagic has released a 4-inch screen that magnetically attaches to the top of ZEUS wheels. It is 100% compatible with SimHub, allowing you to bring telemetry, lap times, and RPMs directly into your field of view.
- The big news: To avoid cable bottlenecks, the screen uses a wireless USB-C dongle to connect to the PC called Airlink. Simagic recently confirmed that the Airlink is included for free in the MagicDash 4 box.

The Connection Maze: Which Maglink Do You Need?
Simagic ZEUS wheels transmit a massive amount of information, which has led to a new connection system depending on the wheelbase in your simulator. Pay close attention to this:
- Case 1: You have a Simagic Alpha EVO base. You’re in luck! The new EVO bases have the necessary bandwidth in their Quick Release pins (QR-A). The wheel will work 100% natively, with no extra cables or adapters. Plug and play.
- Case 2: You have an older Simagic base (Alpha, Alpha Mini, Alpha U). The pins on these bases cannot support all the ZEUS data. To solve this without having a USB cable hanging from the wheel and coiling as you turn, Simagic created the Maglink Pro XTEND. It’s a CNC aluminum spacer placed between the base and the wheel, allowing the USB cable to route from the base so the rim spins freely.
- Case 3: You have a third-party base (Fanatec, Simucube, Asetek, etc.). Yes, you can now use Simagic wheels on other brands! For this, you need to buy the Maglink Pro (Normal). This magnetic adapter allows you to connect the wheel directly to your PC via a USB cable so the buttons and paddles work, while you attach your brand’s physical Quick Release to mount it to the base.
💡 Does it seem confusing to know if you need the XTEND, the normal Maglink, or an extra Fanatec Hub? That’s normal. Go to our SimRacing Builder, choose your base, and the configurator will automatically add the exact adapters to your cart.
Model Breakdown: Which ZEUS is Perfect for You?
The entire range shares an ultra-premium central button box, featuring RGB buttons configurable via SimPro Manager V3, multi-directional switches, rotary encoders, and HALL magnetic paddles. The difference lies in the rim format:

Simagic ZEUS Formula: The Ultimate Weapon
The most extreme and radical model in the range, designed for millimeter precision and ultra-fast reactions.
- Format: 280 mm (formula style).
- Construction: 5mm solid carbon fiber front plate and CNC machined aluminum rear housing.
- Who is it for? Drivers competing mainly in formula cars, prototypes (LMP), or categories where pure reactivity is more important than comfort in long turns.

Simagic ZEUS GT: The Perfect Balance
The most balanced and versatile option in the entire range, standing out for its absolute track adaptability.
- Format: 300 mm (open top/GT style).
- Construction: Premium materials combining the best carbon fiber with ergonomic grips.
- Who is it for? Endurance racing drivers. Its 300 mm diameter makes it more docile than the Formula for multi-hour stints, keeping all controls within a millimeter of your fingertips.

Simagic ZEUS Sport: The Classic All-Rounder
The choice for driving purists who don’t want to be limited to a single category and need the wheel to slide through their hands in tight corners.
- Format: 320 mm (fully round rim).
- Construction: Classic round rim wrapped in high-friction materials, housing the technological “heart” of the ZEUS family in its central button plate.
- Who is it for? Rally drivers, drifters, or drivers of classic and street cars with an H-pattern manual shifter. If you need to counter-steer quickly, this is the only valid option.

Final Conclusion: Is the Investment Worth It?
The short answer is a resounding YES. Simagic has raised the bar for build quality. Although its price sits in the high-end tier, the inclusion of the Maglink ecosystem makes these wheels a bulletproof long-term investment: if you ever decide to sell your Simagic base to buy a Simucube, your Simagic ZEUS wheel can go with you.
